Antonio de Torres

LA LEONA

La Leona” from 1856, is a very lightly built instrument and its simplicity stands out. It was the first that the Maestro made with a turntable, and it is the oldest known guitar that presents all the innovations and was Torres's soul, it served as a model to build the others, and he never wanted to part with it.

In the replica of this mythical guitar I have tried to recover the spirit of the authentic Torres sound, with an impressive power in the bass, catapulted by the turntable, without the treble losing its crystalline presence, thanks also to a powerful harmonic reinforcement. .

I can assure you that this is one of the most reliable and accurate.

This is how numerous concert players of the stature of Juan Carlos López Segura, Paco Seco or Carles Trepat have transmitted it to me, and that with this guitar I have managed to evoke the soul of Torres, and that very Spanish and desired sound of “La Leona”.
